Linsui Kozumi

Japanese calligraphy artist. She is one of the few calligraphers in Japan who mastered the five different styles of Chinese characters. In 2006 she created her own style of calligraphy, called ‘Modern Sho Art’ (Modern Calligraphy Art); she writes letters in the traditional style with a playful touch . She held solo shows in Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo and Paris, and gave demonstration at 50th anniversary of France-Japan relationship at Louvre Museum (2008) and Shanghai International Exposition (2010). In 2011 she opened her studio in a traditional merchant’s house in Kyoto. She performs both traditional and her own style calligraphy.
